  • The Oxford Institute for Environmental Education is offering their summer program, June 9-20, 2008. This program is targeted to science teachers and will focus upon the basic principles of ecology in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, how to apply this knowledge to lesson plans and how to develop their own schoolyards for environmental education. This workshop is open to applicants from K-12. Interested applicants may go to www.oiee.oxford.emory.edu to obtain an online application.

July 2008

  • The SEAS Marine Science Summer Program, hosted by The Florida Aquarium, will focus on the diversity of aquatic life and habitats in Florida's coastal environment and watershed system. Daily field trips, classroom and lab activities will enhance your understanding of the biological and physical characteristics of coastal habitats and increase your skill in conducting student field trips. SEAS is seeking motivated teachers interested in enhancing their knowledge about Florida's aquatic environments and incorporating the SEAS experience into their classroom curriculum.
