The Sc: iii project, administered by the Panhandle Area Educational Consortium, was a professional opportunity/learning experience for science teachers - not just summer employment. To sustain the momentum resulting from the Sc:iii project, an invitation is extended to potential business partners. By participating, the project partner agrees to provide a meaningful professional experience for a teacher, as well as follow-up support during the following school year, in the form of a teleconference, guest speaker, or field trip, etc. This is to ensure that the knowledge and skills learned by the teacher, while on the job, are supported in the classroom. |
